Food Related Actions

  • On February 4, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) approved the registration of zeta-cypermethrin (Mustang®) insecticide for use on citrus.  The EPA Reg. No. for the FMC Corp. product is 279-3126.  (PREC Agenda, 3/6/08).
  •  Based on a request by FMC Corp., the EPA has approved tolerances for the herbicide carfentrazone (Aim®).  Tolerances of importance in Florida include sugarcane, soybean, rice, and sorghum, as well as the grains group (group 15).  (Federal Register, 2/20/08).
  •  Based on a request by Syngenta Crop Protection, the EPA has approved tolerances for the herbicide mesotrione (Callisto®).  Tolerances of importance in Florida include sugarcane, okra, and sorghum, as well as grass screenings/straw/forage/hay.  (Federal Register, 2/20/08).
  •  Based on a request by Dow AgroSciences, the EPA has approved tolerances for the herbicide pyroxsulam.  Tolerances of importance in Florida include wheat forage/grain/hay/straw.  (Federal Register, 2/27/08).

  •  Based on requests by Bayer CropScience and IR-4, the EPA has approved tolerances for the insecticide cyfluthrin (Baythroid®).  Tolerances of importance in Florida include grass of forage/fodder/hay (group 17).  (Federal Register, 2/27/08).
